In The Library

There are many more old men in the reference section of the library than old women. They all sit reading the newspapers. When they turn the pages they do so viciously. They all have that sideways glare about them, that denotes a man who has lost his wife. One of them is sitting next to me and trying to read what I am writing on the computer screen. Perhaps, reading this, he will get up and leave. I hope he does. I wish him well.
