Serious Business, Love
When someone promises you the earth, beware the sound of emotion in their voice. If their voice trembles, if they stare at you with eyes full of love, then beware! It is not love for you. It is love of self-sacrifice. Their promise is narcissistic. It is not considered.
When someone promises the earth gravely, then the promise will be kept.
