If I was to learn only from my experience, here is what I would know:
1. Repeated effort yields no return.
2. Moments of grace are only possible when turning a blind eye to the world's problems.
3. No choice matters, as there is too much to choose from.
Luckily I am too whimsical a person to learn only from hard experience. I believe in the imagination, and the spirit, and these things remain untouched, or are strengthened, by the bad things that happen.
